Hello - a little more about me
Hello - I'm Kate and thank you for visiting my website.

When it comes to life’s challenges, I’ve lived through my fair share. By the age of nine, I had already experienced a series of significant traumas which, unsurprisingly, stayed with me for many years. At that time, children were thought to be naturally resilient, and I wasn’t offered the kind of support that might be available today.
Like many people, I learned to survive by keeping going — but not necessarily by understanding or processing what had happened.
It wasn’t until university that things really began to surface. I started experiencing intense anxiety and panic attacks, often without warning. I didn’t have the words for what was happening — only that something inside me felt overwhelming and out of control.
For a long time, I was driven by a deep need to "fix" myself, to feel normal, to find a way to stop the anxiety.

That search led me down a path of exploration — first through acupuncture and hypnotherapy, and eventually into counselling.

What I discovered wasn’t just symptom relief. These approaches offered me something deeper: a sense of calm, connection, and understanding. They helped me make sense of my inner world and gave me tools to navigate it with more compassion. The difference they made was profound — and life-changing.
Learning how the brain works, how and why we suffer from anxiety, stress, phobias, depression and overwhelm has been life changing and I love being able to pass on that information to my clients and see the change it makes in their lives.

I am passionate about offering empathetic and therapeutic counselling, hypnotherapy, EFT Tapping, breathwork and Mindfulness as a powerful and effective tools to reframe our negative thought patterns and behaviours and to lead us to better and happier lives.

These techniques have helped me feel calmer, happier and more about to deal with life and that's what I want to help you with too. They have helped me find the root causes of my anxiety and disordered eating, and although I am still a work in progress, my life has improved beyond measure and is lighter and brighter than it's ever been. It can be the same for you. I know how debilitating mental ill health can be. I can help you to overcome trauma, manage daily stress, overcome fears and break unwanted habits. I will help you in a gentle, positive and solution-focused way.

Please do get in contact with me to ask me anything about counselling, hypnotherapy, and the bespoke one-to-one therapy I offer, and how it can help you.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Kate
